Becoming a man has little to do with age and much more to do with being introduced into a new way of living. Our culture has lost the art of initiating men and because of this we have many grown boys trying to find their way in the world.

In this journey, I will guide fathers to lead their son’s down a pathway of initiation that will culminate in a 2 day forging experience where I will teach your son how to forge his own knife with your guidance and assistance.

This program incorporates the lessons, trials, and values needed for your son to understand what it means to become a man in an age of lost boys. Included is a curriculum to aid fathers in leading and engaging their son in the journey. Each month I will have a phone call with the father to discuss how the previous month went as well as preparation for the next month. During the 2 day forging experience I will share with your son why forging is one of the best metaphors for life’s journey and he will walk away not only with a memory he will never forget, but a knife that he made himself. As the experience is in Colorado, I highly encourage fathers to schedule a couple of days camping with their son after the 2 day forging experience to connect on a deeper level, and as a chance to use the knife that he just forged.
